Alcoholism In Teen AgeThey just turn teenagers and peer pressure takes over. Teenagers get influenced early in their lives and take up drinking. They do not realize what they get into before it becomes too late for some. Findings show that teenagers in their tender age like thirteen or even below that take to drinking and that too binging. They just run themselves in alcohol. Alcoholism in teenagers is growing like never before. It needs to be nipped in the bud. When they should learn the basics of life and enjoy it, they drink it away, become irritable and just drown themselves in alcohol at every juncture. They feel that they are unable to express their feelings. That’s why, perhaps, most of the teenagers find alcohol as an energizer and stimulator, which can assist them carry out what seems to be impossible otherwise. Parents play a very important role in this, as most of the kids are highly influenced by how their parents behave with them. If they fight, abuse, or mistreat them, or act domineering, then, their teenage kids might take up drinking at a time when they should not. Enhancing their self-esteem, counseling them, protecting them may avoid them from taking up alcohol. Parents should also appreciate the good things about their kids, as it’ll instill self-confidence in them. Kids brimming with self-confidence can easily survive the chances of falling in to the trap of alcoholism. Teenage is the time when the body metabolism and development (physical, hormonal as well as mental) takes place. If a child takes to drinking, the development gets impeded and it shows in the mental and physical well being of that teenager. So, one should avoid the feelings of stress and depression in affecting their teenage kids and keep them away securely from alcoholism in teenage.
