Alcohol Poisoning

If you are looking at winning a binge match and pride in being a binge drinker, think twice! A drink can take you close to your death. Don't think that alcohol is going to let you forget all your worries. They will add to them for you, your family, friends and the society in general.

Regarding health, an overdose of a drink causes alcohol poisoning. This is that state of body which is saturated with alcohol and cannot break it down for the body to stabilize its effects. This occurs due to excess concentration of alcohol in an individual's blood. This can result in instant death of a person. With inexperienced people, the case becomes worse with their low or no tolerance levels of alcohol. They are not familiar with the aftermaths of consuming alcohol in huge amounts. Commonly the body reacts to excessive drinking as you may find many drinkers vomiting after their binge. Liquor irritates the stomach.

At times deaths due to asphyxiation can also take place in the unconscious state of intoxication. With the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) already risen, the alcohol continues in intestine and stomach keeps increasing and entering the blood while circulating the body. Some people might think that the person is actually sleeping while he might be dead or in a state of coma.

Mental confusion, vomiting, coma, stupor, slow breathing, paleness, bluish skin color, and hypothermia are some of the symptoms that can help you in identifying alcohol poisoning.
